On your Aqua Expeditions Amazon River cruise, you will have the opportunity to explore the “hidden” Amazonia on daily excursions aboard one of our three comfortable eight-passenger skiffs. Our skiffs are designed to both protect the fragile Amazon River environment while providing our guests with a unique opportunity to experience the world of the Amazon up close—exploring areas of Amazonia inaccessible via larger ships. And while touring the Amazon River region on our skiffs, our Aqua Expeditions guests are in constant radio contact with the M/V Aqua.

Energy Efficient and Environmentally Sensitive Design

In line with our commitment to keeping the Amazon River region in Peru “green,” these aluminum motorized launches are equipped with new 40 HP Mercury Outboard engines which operate at a three-star ultra-low level of emissions as certified by the California Air Resources Board. These energy-efficient vessels produce 65 percent lower emissions than engines meeting the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s 2006 standards.
