We have revised our terms and conditions for all bookings made in 2021 with the aim of offering flexibility and peace of mind for your future travel plans. Our flexible booking conditions allow for rebooking and postponing your trip free of charge so you may experience a truly authentic and memorable Aqua Expeditions journey.
BOOKING POLICY
- For Courtesy Holds:
Any independent traveler reservation will be recorded as a courtesy hold for a maximum of 7 days. - For Confirmed Bookings:
A deposit of US$ 1,000 per person is required to confirm the booking. Reservations made 90 days or less prior to departure: A full, non- refundable payment is required to confirm the booking.
ONLINE/ EMAIL/ PHONE BOOKINGS RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS
- For Reservations made 90 days or less prior to departure: A full, non-refundable payment is required to confirm the booking.
- For Reservations made 91 days or more before departure: A deposit of US$ 1,000 per person is required to confirm the booking. The final balance is required 90 days prior to departure. If the payment is not received on time, the space(s) will be automatically released.
GROUP RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS (8 PAX OR MORE)
- For Reservations made 121 days or more prior to departure: An initial deposit of US$ 1,000 per person is required to confirm the booking, with a second deposit of US$ 1,000 per person 120 days before departure. The final balance is required 90 days prior to departure.
- For Reservations made 120 days to 91 days prior to departure: A deposit of US$ 2,000 per person is required to confirm the booking. The final balance is required 90 days prior to departure.
- For Reservations made 90 days or less prior to departure: A full, non-refundable payment is required to confirm the booking.
FLEXIBLE TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR NEW BOOKINGS
- We offer to postpone the booking to any date in the next 18 months from the original date of departure in the same destination without any administration fees.
- Possibility to transfer to another vessel with full deposits deducted from final payment. The final payment will be adjusted according to the Aqua vessel chosen, the time of the year and departure selected.
- All payments received will be transferred to the new, rescheduled booking.
- In case a travel date cannot yet be determined, Aqua will extend a voucher for future travel credit, equal to the dollar amount paid. The voucher must be redeemed within 18 months from the original date of departure and can be applied towards any destination, vessel, or duration.
FLEXIBLE TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR EXISTING DEPOSITS AND FULLY PAID BOOKINGS
- We offer to postpone the booking to any date in the next
18 months from the original date of departure in the same destination and on the same vessel without charging any administration fees or penalties. - We provide the guarantee of “No rate change”, with no additional fees for the postponed trip if choosing the same cruise duration and vessel.
- Possibility to transfer to another vessel with full deposits deducted from final payment. The final payment will be adjusted according to the Aqua vessel chosen, the time of the year and departure selected.
- All payments received will be transferred to the new, rescheduled booking.
- In case a travel date cannot yet be determined, Aqua will extend a voucher for a future travel credit, equal to the dollar amount paid. The voucher must be redeemed within 18 months from the original date of departure and can be applied towards any destination, vessel, or duration.
ONLINE / EMAIL/ PHONE RESERVATIONS CANCELLATION POLICY**
- For Cancellations made 121 days or more before departure: The deposit will be refunded, less a US $200 service charge per person.
- For Cancellations made 120 to 91 days prior to departure: All deposits are non-refundable.
- For Cancellations made 90 days or less prior to departure: Full payment will be applied as the cancellation penalty.
DISCLAIMER FOR NEW BOOKINGS
Entry requirements from the local governments in the destinations where we operate are continually changing and are impacting our ability to operate. In confirming your booking, you accept that Aqua Expeditions may be forced to change your departure date if operating is not possible due to restrictions imposed by the governing travel authorities in Peru, Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia or as a result of too few bookings per departure to enable us to cover our operational costs. In this instance, refunds will not be provided, and the flexible booking conditions outlined will apply.
NAME CHANGE POLICY
Aqua Expeditions permits guests to change their names to other
travelers’ names without penalty.
REFUND POLICY
Please note that Aqua Expeditions will only refund to the same bank account or credit card previously used to make payments.
MEDICAL AND HEALTH
Guests should be in good physical health in order to be able to make the most of their cruise. Exploring the area involves the use of small, motorized skiffs and at times may include some wet landings. Daily excursions may include walking on irregular terrain and getting in and out of the skiffs occasionally requires some physical effort. Walking excursions may last up to one hour. Malaria and yellow fever vaccinations are not required for Peru bound travelers coming into the Amazon region, but are recommended.
TRIP CANCELATION INSURANCE
Travelers are strongly advised to purchase trip cancellation insurance, which will reimburse the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. International medical, baggage loss and delay insurance are also recommended. Aqua Expeditions assumes no liability for lost or stolen personal belongings.
VESSEL REPLACEMENT
Aqua Expeditions reserves the right to substitute another vessel if considered necessary (i.e., force majeure or mechanical failure). If the travelers do not take this option, Aqua Expeditions reserves the right to cancel the trip upon a refund pro rata per cruise night not used or, as an alternative, will offer credit toward a future cruise on any Aqua Expeditions cruise.
DIETARY NEEDS
Aqua Expeditions should be contacted at least 30 days prior to embarkation regarding travelers’ specific dietary needs. Every effort will be made to cater to special dietary needs, and to accommodate special requests, subject to a given product’s availability.
TRAVELERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES
Travelers have responsibilities toward both their fellow passengers and the Aqua Expeditions’ crew. Every passenger should review the conditions contained in the trip itinerary, observe all safety requirements on board and on excursions, and act in an appropriate and respectful manner toward the crew members and their fellow travelers.
*While Aqua Expeditions takes every care in considering each booking personally, we reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions to ensure we can meet the expectations of our guests.
**In the event of cancellations, wire fees and credit card commissions will be deducted when calculating refunds.
