Wildlife Conservation: Pacaya Samiria Reserve

Aqua Expeditions’ is committed to supporting the sustainable management of natural resources in the Amazon. As part of this, we have begun working with the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve to assist them with the conservation and management of the Taricaya turtle population.

Working to the Reserve’s guidelines, we have built an artificial beach at Aqua Expeditions’ embarkation lounge in Nauta that incubates Taricaya eggs donated by the Reserve to help with wildlife conservation of this rare species. We regularly involve our guests as much as possible in this initiative and look forward to keeping you updated on the progress of the project.
