Peruvian architect Jordi Puig, best known for his spare, elegant yet comfortable interior spaces, designed the Aqua Amazon. Floors of handsome local woods, Brazilian slate walls and neutral hued soft furnishings complement the naturally stunning Amazon River surroundings.
The Aqua Amazon is designed to accommodate 24 passengers in the utmost comfort among 12 cruiseship cabins of which eight are suites of 21 square meters (230 square feet) with four additional Master Suites of 22 square meters (240 square feet). Puig’s thoughtful interiors and generous dimensions emphasize the dramatic Amazon River panoramas conferred by the suite’s expanded picture windows. Understated chic reigns amidst the natural fiber wall panels, soft white lighting, and polished wood floors. Bathrooms too are thoughtfully designed, incorporating the latest eco-sensitive technology.
Shared interior lounge and deck spaces are no less enticing, subtly designed to embrace the natural light of Amazonia while balancing the ship’s ever changing surroundings.
