Swim with moon jellyfishRaja Ampat’s Misool is one of only three islands in the world which is home to remote lakes inhabited by stingless moon jellyfish. Aqua Blu guests will have the surreal opportunity to swim in these mystical blue waters alongside the ‘aliens of the ocean’.
Spot pygmy seahorsesThe smallest of their kind, pygmy seahorses measure under 2 cm in height. They can be quite challenging to spot, however, with the help of a magnifying glass and our expert dive guides, guests on our Raja Ampat cruises may well encounter these magnificent creatures.
Discover Banda NeiraThe epicenter of the Old World global spice trade, Banda Neira is a kaleidoscope of tradition, culture, nature and wildlife. Banda Neira’s claim to fame originated with the myristica tree. Once found only on the Spice Islands, the tree was the source of nutmeg and mace. Today in Banda Indonesia, the oldest nutmeg plantations in the world remain, and like the Alba truffles of Italy, Banda nutmeg is still regarded as the highest grade varietal of the spice in the world.
Encounter hammerhead sharksAnother rare sighting but a true stunner – scalloped hammerhead sharks are known to reside in the waters surrounding the Spice Islands. Daily snorkeling and diving sessions with Aqua Blu offers the best opportunity to spot these magnificent creatures.
Explore Wayag IslandThe most iconic of the Raja Ampat islands with its surreal karst landscapes and atolls. As you pull into Wayag, deep blue waters turn to turquoise and mushroom-shaped islets appear before your eyes. This is a protected cluster of islands on the edge of the Pacific where the mostly shallow waters are miraculously calm, as if Mother Nature has sculpted an elaborate landscape for creatures needing a respite from the harsh wilderness.
Swim in the Kali Biru RiverThe island of Waigeo in the West Papua province hosts a lush tropical rainforest, within which flows the mystical Kali Biru river. Take a dip in its gently flowing cerulean waters. This is one of only two places on Earth where it’s possible to spot the red bird-of-paradise.
Embarkation
Meeting Point: Arrival terminal, Pattimura International Airport (AMQ), 03:15 PM
Guests will be welcomed by the Aqua Blu team at Pattimura International Airport and escorted on a short transfer to Ambon Harbor. Following this, they will board Aqua Blu at around 04:30 PM.
Disembarkation
Guests will disembark Aqua Blu at Star Marina at 6:30AM. Following this, they will be taken on a short transfer to Domine Eduard Osok Airport (SOQ).
Upon arrival, guests will be able to board the recommended flight Garuda Indonesia GA683 at 08:15 AM, which flies to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta. Guests may choose to terminate their journey at Domine Eduard Osok Airport or arrange their own transport from Jakarta.
